A native of the D.C. metropolitan area, Mackenzie McCluer is currently majoring in Journalism at Northwestern University. This year she completed a 10-week photography internship at Sports Illustrated and served as In These Times's first Art/Web Intern in the fall of 2011. During the 2010-2011 school year she served as photo editor and web/social media editor for The Daily Northwestern, where she began as a sports photographer in 2009. She also worked as a second shooter and social media coordinator in the summer of 2010 for Hero Moment Imaging, a Virginia-based sports photography firm.
